Farmer Vertexiq Garden is a small online garden-supply shop based in Madisonville, Kentucky. We sell the kind of hand tools and plant-care gear we actually use ourselves: pruners that stay sharp through a season, planters with real drainage, and watering cans that pour where you point them.

How this store started

This store grew out of balcony and container gardening — the kind you do on a porch rail, a kitchen windowsill, or a small backyard bed. When we set up our own container gardens, we kept running into the same problem: garden tools sold online were either flimsy giveaways that bent at the first root ball, or commercial-grade equipment priced for a landscaping crew. There was very little in between built for people who look after a few dozen pots rather than a few acres. So we built a focused catalog around exactly that gap.

We are deliberately small. There is no phone tree and no ticket queue — emails come to the same small team that picks the products, and that is how we intend to keep it.

What we carry

We keep the range narrow on purpose: garden hand tools (pruners, trowels, cultivators), ceramic and resin planters, watering cans and misters, plant supports and trellises, seed organizers, and potting accessories. Every listing states the material, exterior dimensions, and capacity before you reach checkout, because guessing whether a pot fits a windowsill is a waste of everyone's time.

Just as important is what we do not carry. We do not sell pesticides, fertilizers, treated seeds, or any chemical or cosmetic-claim products — tools and containers only. If an item needs a safety data sheet, it does not belong in this store.

How we pick products

Before a product goes live we check three things. First, the material specification: stainless or carbon steel heads, hardwood or cushioned grips, frost-resistant ceramic. Second, the construction points where cheap tools usually fail: handle joints, rivets, blade pivots, and drainage holes. Third, whether the manufacturer's claims hold up against real customer feedback from buyers who have used the item for more than a week. If an item cannot be described honestly — exact size, exact material, exact capacity — we do not list it, no matter how good the margin looks.

How ordering works

Orders placed before 2:00 PM Central Time on a business day begin processing the same day; processing takes 2–5 business days. Standard shipping is free on all orders — no minimum purchase — and typically delivers in 3–7 business days after dispatch with USPS, UPS, or FedEx. We ship within the United States only. A tracking number is emailed the moment your order ships, and you can follow it from our Track Your Order page.

If something goes wrong

If an item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you. Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery; approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
